We recently completed our latest beautification project, our Welcome to Beautiful Syracuse-Wawasee Billboard located at 6 & 13!  Enhancing Our Community is one of the core initiatives for the Chamber.

We take a strong interest in helping beautify Syracuse.  Through collaborative efforts the Chamber is helping to maintain and preserve the quality of our lakes, supporting the building of trails and greenways,  replacing light pole banners and welcome signage, as well as bringing new ideas on ways to continue to attract visitors and increase the quality of life for our residents.

This particular project started back in 2015 as an effort to update the Welcome to Syracuse Billboards located on the north and south ends of our community.  The previous signs were both in poor condition and needed replaced since their purchase in the early 2000’s. The signs were made out of wood and did not withstand the elements very well.  It is expected that the new signs will have a life expectancy of 15-20 years.

The Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce would like to thank all of the organizations that helped provide funds for this project. The Harkless Foundation, the Syracuse Wawasee Rotary Club, the Syracuse-Wawasee Trails, the Wawasee Property Owners Association, the American Legion, the Rinker Family Foundation, the Syracuse Lions Club, the Wawasee Kiwanis Club, the Knights of Columbus and WACF.  Special thanks to our members that also helped or are providing ongoing services for the project:  Don’s Excavating, Wawasee Middle School, Syracuse-Wawasee Garden Club, LC Fabricating, Inc. and Beyond Landscaping.

Other projects completed by the Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce can be found on our website and we are always seeking feedback on ideas on what projects we can identify next.  If you have a suggestion please e-mail info@swchamber.com.
